The new High Efficient Trane Hyperion Air handlers for Heat Pumps include Extra Large Coils and an optional Variable Speed fan motor that utilizes Trane’s patented ComfortR software.

Extra Large Coils:  With an Air Handler, the coil introduces hot air in the winter and cold air in the summer to the home.  The size and efficiency of the coil is very important and Trane uses some of the largest coils in the industry.  In addition, the Hyperion Air Handlers use all Aluminum coils, which resist corrosion much better than the other manufactures copper / steel coils.

ComfortR Variable Speed Fan Motor:  The ComfortR driven fan motor runs at 3 specific speeds to reduce humidity in the summer while running the cooling cycle of your system.  The different speeds are timed to reduce the moisture in the air and then increase the amount of dry, cold air circulated throughout the home.  The end result is less humidity in the home and more comfort.

The Trane Hyperion Air Handler cabinets are designed similar to a refrigerator, with an inner and outer shell, with foam insulation in between.  This allows for better insulation and much quieter performance.  Automotive grade gaskets are used to eliminate air leaks and provide long life.  These air handlers are the most efficient in the industry and have a very attractive appearance.
