The efficient Trane XV80 furnace includes 2 Stage Heat and a Variable Speed fan motor that utilizes Trane’s patented ComfortR software.

2 Stage Heat:  When the furnace first comes on during winter months, the 2 Stage gas valve opens up half way to heat the home with 50% less fuel.  If the outdoor temperatures are really cold, the 2 Stage gas valve opens all the way to increase the heat as needed.  The 2 Stage heating provides you with the most comfort available and reduces your natural gas energy bill at the same time.

ComfortR Variable Speed Fan Motor:  The ComfortR driven fan motor runs at 3 specific speeds to reduce humidity in the summer while running the cooling cycle of your system.  The different speeds are timed to reduce the moisture in the air and then increase the amount of dry, cold air circulated throughout the home.  The end result is less humidity in the home and more comfort.

The Trane XV80 uses self-adjusting silicon nitride electric igniters for long service life.  Its heat exchanger is aluminized steel which is crimped together and not welded, for longer life.  The heavy duty insulated cabinet keeps the heat in, is quiet and maintains its appearance for years.
