The Trane XL20i outdoor Air Conditioning Condenser and Heat Pump are Ultra Efficient and are unmatched in the industry.  The XL20i uses dual Trane Climatuff Compressors.  In milder temperatures under 85 degrees, the smaller compressor operates which saves you money on your energy bill.  Running the smaller compressor also helps in removing humidity in the home.  In hotter weather, the large compressor operates to keep your home cooler as needed.  If you have a Heat Pump then you will also benefit from having dual compressors that perform similarly during the heating cycles in the winter.

The XL20i has a communicating network called ComfortLink II.  Think of this as a small computer network that continually configures the operation of the entire system for optimal performance.  System diagnostics are built in and are displayed on the Trane 900 series thermostat.  You can also add a telephone module and adjust settings from any telephone when away from home.

The XL20i uses Trane’s exclusive all-aluminum Spine Fin coil, which is the most efficient in the industry and resists corrosion.  The WeatherGuard II top protects the interior from debris and also reduces noise.  The Duratuff base pan will not corrode, crack or rust.  All exterior metal is galvanized steel with a powder coat finish that resists rust and maintains its glossy appearance for years.

The Trane XL20i is ENERGY STAR qualified, with SEER ratings of up to 20 depending on the size.
